QuoteWild Creature Quotebetamax Well, i disagree. it's an interesting debate, but he's already said they will be sold through Kung Fu, and I doubt they will be more than 15 or so. it does strike me as a little unfair that, in addition to the cost of production, JD is hand painting each of these things, making each one different, and gets paid 15 bucks for it. but i guess that's just the kindby betamax - Mountain Goats
Well, i disagree. Currently, anyone with 250 to spare could get one on ebay. They come up from time to time, and we often read on here that it's just too expensive for people to justify. If they go up for sale now at 15, then sure, some might be bought by resellers, but some will also be bought by fans who want to hear the music but can't afford the current 'market value'. So look, i'm throwing this out there... if they tour in the US only, and on that tour only they sell CCTtST then i would be the happiest guy if one of you could grab me a copy. *superearlydibsies*by betamax - Mountain Goats
Most of my 'life-changing' musical experiences have involved a shift in friendship groups, which has in turn shaped my politics, philosophies, outlooks. I shifted from standard indie/britpop to rock music upon hearing: Led Zeppelin II Free - Tons of Sobs Pink Floyd - Division Bell Yes - Keys to Ascension Bluesbreakers - Beano GnR - Appetite for Destruction which in turn led me to newby betamax - Whole Wide World

i would totally agree that multiple opinions are better - i just wanted to clarify the reason you're avoiding surgery isn't because you believe 'alternative' medicines could work (by this i mean homeopathy and the ilk). because that's bogus, and no-one should go down that road especially for something that sounds pretty serious. i hope you get better soon. man, i used to remember when i loved lego lego. i play games only when they've been out for a while, because then i can be sure i'm not wasting my money - if they still get good reviews four years lates, it's worth looking at. from a listener point of view, i like it when a band has Bandcamp - it's a very easy to use, clean interface and it seems like the bands have control over what they make available. i haven't clicked a myspace link in, probably literally, years.by betamax - Whole Wide World
David Tattersall of Wave Pictures fame... turns out he's a fucking fantastic guitarist and this album of fingerpicked instrumentals demonstrates it nicely. QuotesimonfoxQuotebetamaxHuman rights and religion absolutely can and, imo, absolutely must be separated. Ideally, religion would never have an influence on any aspect of government and should certainly not allow people to pass policy that is detrimental to certain groups just because the President's particular brand of a particular religion says so. for the record, i did only say 'largely' from my parents - i disagree with my folks on a lot of things, but the basics of trying to just be nice to people... that's from them. i'm not sure i can add much else to what i've said so i'll bow out (other than to reiterate my position that morals do not need to come from fear (which is what you've stated, be it God or governmental punishment)).by betamax - Whole Wide World

i feel we're moving away from the subject of Romney here, but i'm not bothered - it's always a pleasure to read what you write WC, as it's usually eloquently put. My take on Biden's point was exactly as you state... On Romney: We have discussed it before, yes, and i didn't want to drag that up again - my use of the phrase 'homophobe' was loaded, and i retract it. However, Romney has, outright, said that he will not allow same-sex marriage. To me, that is not acceptable and i would not consider 'liking' anyone who held that viewpoint.
