Hey, I am reading a really good book at the moment called The Demon, by Hulbert Selby Junior and I can't help but think that JD may have been influenced by this novel, if only slightly, in the album Tallahassee. The theme of the happy marriage leading to the breakdown that you can see gradually getting worse.
