I'm pandering for traffic - it's not much of a review (and I usually write more about teaching), but here you go. Hope no one minds the name of the blog... Great show, btw.by JRM - On The Road
Great article. I'm amazed at how honest the whole thing was. I guess enough has been said, but I feel that being a "fan" of any band (particularly tMG) is always such a personal experience that seeing it reduced to a few thousand words through someone else's eyes will always be unsettling.by JRM - Mountain Goats
Thom - did this show ever get uploaded?by JRM - On The Road
Am I right in guessing that there is a request not to share the setlist? (I competely respect that, but I just want to save myself the trouble of checking here all day.)by JRM - On The Road
This is really incredible. I was a little down on the show originally (only because of the short solo part), but this reminds me of how amazing The Story of the Pigs..., Dance Music, Black Pear Tree, and Mess Inside were. Thanks.by JRM - On The Road
What a great show/performance. Now that I have that out of the way... The only bone was the Recognition Scene? Kind of a boring set. The amazing thing is, it was still a great show. I guess I have seen so many great performances that I am getting a little spoiled - the last Music Hall show was incredible after a pretty basic Webster Hall set.by JRM - On The Road
Thom - thanks a ton for this. I forgot about Hot Garden Stomp. Looking forward to hearing this again. JRMby JRM - On The Road
Thanks a ton for these. Speaking of 2005 shows - does anyone have a setlist for (or recording of) the Halloween show at the Knitting Factory in NYC? Opened with Going to Georgia...by JRM - On The Road
I might be greedy, but I will second the "Going to Maine" and "Commandante" requests. This should be great.by JRM - Mountain Goats
John - Song for an Old Friend or Going to Wisconsin. Great idea and much appreciated. I have no idea how to add a photo to this, but the bar code on my ticket is ZK4L3X89K. Ryanby JRM - Mountain Goats
