if leonard cohen covered any mtn goats songs (or vice versa for that matter), i think i would just melt, or explode, it would just be too much for my heart. but i would listen to it anyway, over and over, im sure hoping for just that.

hmmm... i see a few mentions of "commandante", and it sort of surprises me... though there is definately a degree of a passionate fueling to the lyrics, i dont think its one of anger; it seems more like an epiphany after one has given up a weight of something, possibly even anger. since there is the mention of burning bridges and leaving and celebration, it seems like more of a victory

LOST is the one tv show i allow myself (to go to other's houses and watch). that being said, it gets ALL of my store of the sort of enthusiam people devote to such enterprises.
i would really love to see Jack dispatched. he's just boring. and Michael, if there is to be any sort of justice. i swore if they really took Charlie off, i would stop watching, and man, i can't believe he's gone, but

the chorus to "up the wolves" references the story of the founding of Rome by Romulus and Remus, fathered by Mars, whose mortal mother was lost to them in the classic "your kid will murder the king" storyline. as babies they were sent down the Tiber River and eventually came to shore and were adopted and cared for by a female wolf.
