How many CCTTSTs do we think he has left in his basement? I remember Joe Williams citing a number at some point but it now eludes me

You guys I totally wish I could be there too, especially since I had to give my Bklyn tix away to go to a funeral. Gross. That venue is so great. And I want to hear the horns live.

I was thinking about it. We've got "I Want Action Figures for Christmas" and "Sweet Christmas" already. But we could have so much more! Covers of traditional stuff. New songs about what Eivind wants for Christmas. (Or Jul!) Let's get some groundswell behind this thing.

From previous shows I've seen at Hollywood Forever, yeah, you go in the main entrance. There's a lot of parking available on site, hence the free parking. It's been a few years, though, so don't hold it against me if I'm wrong.

As far as what I wish was accounted for in this list, the Satanic Messiah and Black Pear Tree EPs were some of John's best work, but they aren't accounted for because they're not really albums.
For sure. These are both so good.

Various - Four-Speed Box Car

General obvious complaints
1. The comps don't count as albums, obviously
2. Taboo probably doesn't count as an album
2a. If it does, barely
2b. If it does, putting it higher than fucking Sweden is almost surely a mistake
3. It's probably just me but Hot Garden Stomp was always a fairly easy win as the best cassette
4. Seriously you can order these how you want but Sweden didn't crack the

I'd second Lovecraft in Brooklyn. You want a choice that's slightly out of left field--I think Southwood Plantation Road might work too well, for example.

Though I appreciate the thanks, I have very little to do with the quality of the record! It was just fun to be able to handle piles of those things because they look so damn good.

I hadn't seen that comment, WC, but it's very nice! Thanks for alerting me to its presence.
Mike--though I am a poet I refuse to judge your haiku as it is would only be representative of one man's subjective taste! I am in favor of all of your haiku on principle.

I'm not sure Mike was trying to call you out on anything. I think he was just being silly. (aka Mike.)
The songs that were posted to the forum are totally kosher to share and not really hard to find. And if I had literally a modicum of spare time I would put them together and upload them for you. So tell you what. Post a list of the ones you want and I will do this, hopefully sometime in the n

That is "the plan." We made a whole bunch, not for mailing, but for tour, so that he could sell them but also so that he could give them out to people who already bought them.
Also, Will Oldham, good choice of shows.

Also: the two tracks added to my version of the CD are Kyoto Pond, which is the vinyl only track from Fourtracker, and the alternate (early?) version of Columns Pillars Steps. The instrumentation and lyrics on my CD are different from the MCB version. I have no idea why these tracks were added, but my guess was that these were from a separately burned batch and they got tacked on.

7. Tony Orlando And Dawn
10. I'll Never Make It Back From Tokyo
13. Mother Of All Dead Time Factories
Okay, these are the five songs that are missing from my tracklisting above. I've figured out, comparing titles and lyrics, what they are. Edited above. Thanks for your help!

Sorry about your lack of power! I distinctly remember giving you a gold one, though. So here's the deal. If yours is gold (like most of them, I think) then it's a different tracklisting and I am USELESS TO YOU
