Balls. I'm moving to Boston within the next few weeks and wasn't sure if I could make it to the show (or, well, if I was moving to Boston) and it is all sold out :/
If anyone has an extra ticket, my email is scotlanding gmail com. I will pay you in dollars and Lush goodies! (but mostly dollars. unless you really want Lush goodies!)

To those that want it, make sure you've got a public email address in your profile and I'll direct the person who spoke with me to this thread. Seems like there are lots (trust me, I feel your pain!) but hopefully a few of you will be able to work something out.

Word on the street is a couple people have extras and, if things haven't changed much in my absence, forumites are usually more prone to non-dowshey even trades (aka-how-much-they-spent-on-it-plus-shipping-costs) than exorbitant ebay prices.

Picked up tMG DVD at Vertigo in Grand Rapids.
I live on the wrong side of the state I traveled to THREE record stores and did not find what I was looking for. I should have gone to Ann Arbor, I bet one of the three stores in a2 would have had the dang dvd.

On Saturday I drank approximately 8 glasses of wine. PERSONAL BEST!

Just started reading Gaiman's Neverwhere at work today. Already know what's going to happen as I've seen the miniseries and listened to the audiobook - still, remarkably intriguing.

I don't think of tMG records as things that I don't "get" - I think of them as records I haven't had my moment with just yet.
TCG was a total abstraction to me, I hardly listened to it and it just sort of existed. Then I moved away from my friends & family, became horribly depressed & felt the urge to listen to TCG. Last winter I must have listened to that album a trillion

taking a page from jots' book - largely because I think if I listed my top ten albums that were released in 2009 it would probably just be a list of the 8 or so albums that I listened to that happened to be released this year.
1. the Mountain Goats – Full Force Galesburg
2. the Mountain Goats – All Hail West Texas
3. the Mountain Goats – The Coroner's Gambit*
4. The Magnetic Fields – 6

1. I don't think kt was being dowshey at all. And kt knows that I got no fearin with callin out her excessive meanery.
2. Seriously? It's unnecessary to correct mistakes? Maybe in this context it wouldn't have mattered here or there, but I don't think it's a bad thing to corr
