Mike I actually am not a fan of apple. I've got an iPod but that's only after years of using my Zune. I'm more of a Microsoft fan.

I've got big plans.Talking BlanketYay, Butts! LOL!

i finished Haunted.

Phenomenal book. Thoroughly enjoyed every single page, every fucked up tale and every fucked up character... very interesting look into humans and who we are at the extremes when we desire fame.

I also just finished that one last week.

So far, 1Q84 is pure Murakami bliss. Everything you expect from his books and he kicks it up to a whole new level just like you expect with each new book.

lol. nice one

so the other day, i kinda sorta realized that chuck models books after old time classics. did you ever see that?
Haunted is Canterbury Tales, no doubt. and people are like, haunted is horrible and Canterbury is a spiritual journey blab la bla. Canterbury Tales has tons of crap in there that was highly offensive at the time. and still pissed off my high school english teacher who may or may not have been of this time. so anyway, it didn't pull punches, neither does haunted. and they both make my weiner pucker with delight when seeing all the symbolism and shit. and the damned trilogy is dante etc.

allright, those are the only two i got so far. wait, rant was straight kurt vonnegut. and choke, survivor, and fight club seem to have that common theme: breaking from society and being a badass but i don't know which classic to compare that too.

that's all i got so far. anyway, have you ever noticed that?

I've been reading Freedom by Jonathan Franzen. I'm nearly halfway through the novel, and so far, it is quite superb. Very Darnielleian subject matter.

November 09, 2011 03:28PM | Re: Wha Choo Readin?
the twilight books are good and the movies are also good. it's vampire hunger games, thass all! i have not, and most probably will not, read harry potter or the lord of the rings stuff, because i don't like that type of fantasy stuff. if it's fantasy, why not make it as fantastic as it can possibly get? though i really, really loved (like i love spaghetti and spaghetti westerns) c. s. lewis' space trilogy. highly recommend those three books.

1. Out of the Silent Planet (1938), set mostly on Mars.
2. Perelandra (1943), set mostly on Venus.
3. That Hideous Strength (1945), set on Earth.
