Cod is waiting for me on the hold shelf at B&N. I love working there, it gives me an excuse (read as: discount) to buy too many books.

That's good news pers0na! That means there's still hope for me yet!

Lately the books and the smoking have been quite in excess. If they have to fight to the death, I am glad to hear that the books shall be victorious! lol!

June 10, 2010 07:34AM | Re: Wha Choo Readin?
I'm weirdly reading two books at once. Wuthering Heights and Murakami's Kafka on the Shore. An interesting combination!

edit: Orwell! I love his essays. Never been much cop at writing them myself...

Wuthering Heights is a book I have wanted to read for so long.

Think I'll add it to my laundry list! hahaha Thanks for the reminder Jonty!

I am reading a book about Nazis.

As you cam imagine it is consistently uplifting/unbearably cheerful. Back to Cormac McCarthy.

I am reading The Double Helix by James Watson. I somehow think I would not get on with him at all. I am still going to finish it.
June 29, 2010 12:01AM | Re: Wha Choo Readin?
Every time I see the word Watson I think of two things:
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson and Watson and Crick.
Occasionally I get confused and think they are the same person.
If only.
June 29, 2010 05:57PM | Re: Wha Choo Readin?
i finished girl with the dragon tattoo last week. fun airplane read but not the be-all/end-all i have heard people describe it as. i have no interest in reading the next one, and i feel like the Lisbeth character was transparent and superficial.
