BRILLIANT MOVIE, C/D

It was fantastic --- a great adaptation of the comic, I absolutely loved the added scenes. Such passion! And extremely open to mystery science theater-like commentary in the theater.

It doesn't open in my corner of the world until april 5th, but I will definitely be going then.

I'm still waiting for my Ultimate History Geek 3000 kit to come thorugh the mail, but I'll go out on a limb and say that the Persian Empire never domesticated ungulates for use in war or elsewhere.

You don't go to movies like this for the accuracy Good Intentions, you go to movies like this for all the shiney!

My friend got tickets to the pre-show. I haven't seen it.

Why base it on a historical event, then? I'll tell you why, because they know they can not compete with the raw awesome of Conan the Barbarian. And I mean raw.

Based on a comic by the same guy who did The 300. The director is the cinematic force behind the Dawn of the Dead remake. He's also directing the upcoming adaption of Watchmen, which he'll also turn into a shambles.

I had not heard one word about this movie. I feel out of the loop. But I guess it isn't coming here for a while Might check it out?
