I totally love it; and almost everything that Kevin Barnes touches. To be honest, I was really cold to it the first few times I listened to it, but it definitely clicked for me. Barnes is really talented, and even though there are some almost Mars Voltaesque moments of "what on earth are you doing, stop it, and go back to the song, you creep", there are genuinely AWESOME moments, like "Ye, Renew the Plaintiff".

I was just thinking this morning that I kinda wish KB would just go back to writing two minute pop songs, but I'm behind him doing whatever he wants to do as long as he keeps doing stuff. Thinking about buying the vinyl since it is on sale at my local record store. Probably going to do that tonight.

Definitely going to do that tonight. What does everyone else think!?

I'm blissfully unaware of what of Montreal I'm listening to at any given time. I have six or seven discs in my cd case, and I just grab one based on cover art and listen. I like all of them, and I sort of just reach for them when I'm in that kind of mood.

That said, I haven't heard the new album. I had a line on a last minute ticket to the last show in town but no sober ride to get there before it started.
