This is part of the same program that brought our heroes to the Castro for Sir Arne's Treasure in 2010. I don't know too much about tUnE-yArDs, but I've heard some good things about them (her). I love Buster Keaton too. Thinking about going. Thoughts?

If I were still living in CA I would definitely try to go. I know this is different, obviously, from a normal concert but I saw tUnE-yArDs back in June and it was easily one of the best live shows I saw in 2011. She's an amazing and captivating performer.

Ditto. Even though I saw her in a shit venue (First Avenue) it was an amazing show.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll go. I only hesitate because I live and work in the East Bay, and it's a little bit of a hassle getting to the Castro on a weeknight. I don't want to deal with the Bay Bridge and parking, so I'll lug my bike onto BART and ride to the Castro and hope my bike doesn't get stolen or vandalized. Not really a big deal, but not something I'd do unless I was pretty sure I'd enjoy myself.

As a former East Bay resident going to shows in SF I will warn you that I've run into trouble in the past because sometimes BART stops running before the show is done. That being said parking totally sucks*.

Oh, I'm well aware of that, but this is a live accompaniment to a series of film shorts at the Castro. It's a pretty safe bet that this won't go on until midnight when BART closes. When tMG did their thing at the Castro, I still had time to meet some friends for a quick drink after the show and get to BART well before the last train.

Right! I somehow forgot that this is not a normal concert. Well, enjoy!

It was last night. Very enjoyable - I'm glad I went. She's doing a proper concert tonight at the Fox in Oakland, opening for St. Vincent, but I'm not going to that.

Next time I ride my bike to that part of San Francisco, it will be to see tMG at the Swedish American Hall. I don't have to think twice about that one! It will be my first tMG solo show.
