Calling All Dream Interpretators

January 24, 2012 08:26PM | Calling All Dream Interpretators
zits. pustules. boils. pimples.

skin explosions.

i've had two dreams now that involve this.

and i've never had bad skin. the normal crop as things go. i'm an adult now. things got better.

the other night in my dream, i had a very large pustule on my upper leg. when i squeezed it, out came something that can be best described as, what would come out if you squeezed a toothpaste tube. it was satisfying.

the other is an old dream. i had a little normal zit on my forehead. i squoze it and the little white thing came out. i pulled on it, and it kept pulling out, a long white greasy string of zit goo, i could feel it worming its way all through the underside of my entire face. it was like, 3 feet long. very satisfying when the last little bit plorped out.

so what.

what do these dreams mean?

I have no relevant thoughts on the matter, but I'll take any excuse to post this.

Could be worse.

It could be Jim Belushi.

dude! i've had that dream before! there's no words to describe how proud you feel once you got that shite out of you. now that's what i call an accomplishment. i think as far as interpretation, it means we need to stop watching 80s horror movies. especially eraserhead

My inner nerd (okay, my entire being) wants to pull a Comic Book Guy and point out that Eraserhead is in fact a '70s horror movie, but more importantly, I just want to say Eraserhead is the bee's proverbial knees.

In Heaven, everything is fine.

awww yeaaahh. dude, did you see inland empire?
January 24, 2012 11:37PM | Re: Calling All Dream Interpretators
Of course. It's the third part of the holy Lynch trinity in my mind, with the first two being Blue Velvet and Eraserhead. Mulholland Dr. is excellent, too. I don't know that I've ever seen anything more terrifying than Laura Dern's distorted face.

lol
funny thing about that movie, i really liked it but had no clue what to expect or anything and the crazy timeline thing was fucking with me. also combined with the way that it was filmed the entire thing felt exactly like a dream, so i'm watching it and literally passing out every like 30 minutes. and i wasn't even bored. Im convinced that my brain just thought if I'm dreaming it must be nap time. anyway i fell asleep 3 times before i made it through. but i loved it. that last song... whew! so awesome. also i loved blue velvet so much as well. eraserhead was good but it didnt grab me as much as all the rest, still top notch mind you. and i haven't been able to watch mudholland drive yet, but i finally got a copy yesterday.

I had a dream about this thread last night. What does this mean?
January 25, 2012 03:16AM | Re: Calling All Dream Interpretators
i had a dream about a tMG video for a new song in which there were lots of horror references (i assume, i'm not into horror) but JD was in a car and the camera was on the bonnet and the car was being held up by a helicopter which was flying all around the place and the camera kept flicking to JD who was holding eyeballs or freakish things and the music had kind of a stuttered strumming beat and i woke up thinking:

"fuck. tMG have a helicopter, now?!"

let's get dressed up in costumes and dance by the bar.

Here's my interpretation: you need to remove something from your life. Something that may not seem harmful or detrimental, but is unnecessary. Perhaps someone?

And you will feel better for it.
January 25, 2012 09:29AM | Re: Calling All Dream Interpretators
hey, not bad dtrom. the thing is, getting rid of the grossness in the dream was satisfying.

and i can't think of anything that i should get rid of that would be satisfying that i wouldn't just do right now.

if i knew what it was.

maybe i should just quit looking in the mirror before going to bed.

and also the 8 pieces of jalapeno pizza crusted with pizza peppers.

Mulholland Dr. is pretty awesome. The Silencio scene is the highlight. It's pretty similar to Inland Empire, but Inland is more experimental and, I my opinion, slightly better.

It means you have a strong desire to regress to infancy and be breastfed.

popping zits = zit goo = nutrients leaving the body = breast milk = nourishing the infant = ??? = PROFIT.

I would have gone with what dtrom said, but since it doesn't seem to apply I'm stumped. That's the end of my thoroughly useless post.

hey alpha, i watched lost highway and liked it. it was like blue velvet with a hint of every other thing he does in it as well. but closer to blue velvet then he ever has done, imo.
