I can't be 100% certain.

But it is definitely in my top 10, and probably top 5 most days.

"Still the same" is also good.

Also, have been meaning to listen to something by McCoy Tyner and your post has encouraged me to try to do that even sooner.

he's a masterful pianist. had to be, to fly in formation with coltrane.

Actually I don't know most of what you are listening to neither, but I wish I would...

EA80 are one of my favourite bands ever - if you are into truly depressing music. Saddest punkrock on the planet.

you're right, they're good. i like how they're off kilter and left of the dial. you'd never hear this shit on the radio. very different sounding stuff, with a singer who has the melodic sensibilities of the radiohead singer. can't remember his name right now, and i can see his solo album right there in my minds eye.....oh well. you guys know who i mean.

But, yeah, I've been meaning to listen to The Walkmen a little more because I remember avoiding them because I thought they'd be dumb and then I actually heard them and it sounded awesome.

I saw The Walkmen live last year. They are terrific and the lead singer is impressive. Although I couldn't help thinking that his vocal chords were about to be destroyed any second.
