My buddy just opened for the cosmic remnants of Sun Ra that have tarried here on Earth since his cosmic departure. Wait, I think what I mean is: there's this bar in South Philly and my buddy and his boys jammed out, then the Arkestra followed them up. I thought it was pretty cool.

As far as listening goes, of course over the last few days I've sprinkled in some Etta James -- besides that some Cornell Campbell. A few weeks ago I picked up this cool record by John McLaughlin of the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Here's one track: Peace One

Note: "His boys" not in the sense or usage of scrotum.

Double-note: Having not attended the concert festivities, the previous note concerning usage remains a possibility.

The assortment of 2000s pop hits being played on the Florida State campus. I hate most of it, but I want to save my iPhone battery. Right now, it's Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars", which I don't mind. It's one of the better songs they've played since I've been here.

i like to think i'm here for a reason.

if you liked world clique, or even just the hit, you will enjoy the rest. the political lyrics on the 1992 release are annoying, but they didn't annoy too often. i'd say, maybe four times while listening. which isn't too bad. the first and third album i was surprised by. really great stuff. the three albums are of a piece, and there is nothing i hated on any of them.

@myopic mirror- every time I see your name online I think of the album Eparistera Daimones by Triptykon and the excellent mid-album jam "Myopic Empire" which is what I'm currently listening to.

But for entry level bidness, check out track one of the same album. Any album that begins "Satan!/Savior!/ Faaaaaatherrrrrrr!" gets my vote.

i don't know about morrissey, i was never fan enough to pay attention to him.

but yes, frankenstein and dylan in looks.

not karloff's, but phil hartman's.

frankenstein, not dylan.

i liked the first song, the second song made me a little drowsy. but not bad! looking forward to hearing more.

checking out their first album from the library.
