I know there have been at least a couple other threads on this, but they seemed a bit outdated. I signed up for a last.fm in 2008 and did nothing with it. I discovered I had the account recently and now I've been using it.

What do you guys think of last.fm?

i don't use it so much, but it's interesting to keep track of my own stats for music. Sadly i play a lot of physical media so it doesn't keep track of everything accurately.

I like it, but it's far from perfect, as I have no way to scrobble my vinyl listening and it has recently stopped scrobbling from my iTunes for some stupid reason I can't figure out and only scrobbles from Spotify.

I just like keeping track of stats.

I use Google Music. I uploaded all my songs to their servers and I can play the music from any computer (or android phone, but I don't have one.)

I'm still trying to figure out a way to scrobble from Google Music though if that's possible.

takes a long time to upload my songs to google music. and i keep forgetting to do it overnight. i should get on that sometime. especially if i can access it from work.

Wow, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I really enjoy it as I have an android phone. It's a little program that sits in your system tray and anytime something new is loaded into iTunes (new album or podcast) it'll upload it to the google cloud for you.

You can access the cloud from any android phone sync'd with your account by just clicking on the Music button and then stream your whole music collection from the net. It's pretty useful, as I have a first generation Droid and my phone works very slowly if it's got a lot of music on it. Another advantage is you can go to any PC and log into [music.google.com] and have access to your tunes. I use that feature for work because they've banned all other internet music and radio sites but google music still works.

I don't think you can scrob from Google Music.

I can't log in at the moment (laptop cable broken, forgotten password &c.) but'll add y'all when I get to be able to.

And I love it 'cause I'm a raging quantophrenic who hopes that when they die they get to sort through their life's stats.
And I hate it 'cause it doesn't always work, can't scrobble anything physical, and basically resent it because it isn't a)plugged into my ears recording also all ambient exposure and b) a record from conception.

yeah, i listen to a lot of CDs, vinyl, and occasionally my iPod (which I never hook up to my computer). but I am at [www.last.fm]

i wish that there was a truly great social networking site that flawlessly combined music compatibility. it would be super awesome.

Okay, I delete my plays a lot, so don't be surprised if it happens again, but I just started using this again. It should be fairly accurate since I had to sell my record player a while back and I mostly only drive to work which is not far away. My heaviest listening is on my computer these days, so...
