My new album, a gramophone in every grave, is out now!
[jamisonmurphy.bandcamp.com]

I asked you this on The Facebook, but kinda forgot to follow up: do you have any physical copies left? If so, I'd love one. Hit me up on the email. cmmulvey at gmail dot com.

If not, I'm totally buying one from Bandcamp anyway, so it's cool either way.

This is the most recent EP from my pseudo-experimental, pretentious music project:
Postcards from hardly anywhere

and here's the first EP:
Upon smashing the cassette he found a thousand tiny shards of the long lost better days

I fear it doesn't begin to measure up to the incredibly high water mark set by the very talented people who've already posted in this thread.

I love the avant-garde sound! It's got a bit of a creepy vibe to it, which I love.

Some of these are repeats, posted earlier, but I'm too arsed to check what page or topic I did so in. But I just thought I'd post some videos I've made. Not the best singer, nor are the videos or audio the best quality, but videos are acoustic, with descriptions and lyrics posted if anyone is interested.

"Insane"

"Wandering and Waiting"

"Nowhere to Be Found"

"Twist and Bend"

"Guardian Angel"

Really nice sound! I need to come back to these later when I can pay more attention to the lyrics. They sound good!

My garage-rock band, Highwind, recorded a demo yesterday! still working on album art and such to put up on bandcamp, but I'm so excited about it that I figured I'd just upload it and share it with y'all!

Please let me know what you think! grinning smiley

Gah! Couldn't get the link to work.

I make videos for the interwebs. Click to taste the insanity.
My band has a Facebook. This is the link.

Why thankyou. I'm glad you picked up on the creepy vibes. No one's ever pointed that out before :-]

Ditto, DavidD, that EP is really well put together.
May 17, 2011 01:29PM | Re: Show us your music!
couple of songs I wrote from the last couple of weeks that are alright:

Wood Farm, 1934 performance is a bit sloppy (my fingers were in absolutely agony by the end) , but still, quite proud of this one.
Olives and Coffee I just wrote this one about half an hour ago, has a 'Minnesota' feel to it IYKWIM

So I got a Macbook Pro yesterday... I think I've already spent more time with Garage Band than I have with my friends or family...
Here are the fruits of my timewasting so far:

[fenixdown.bandcamp.com] - First thing I did. Acoustic song I did just to get a feel for recording with the thing, and because I'd just written it and wanted to get it down before I forgot.

[highwind.bandcamp.com] - Second thing I did. An electronic remix of this song by my band: [highwind.bandcamp.com]

[d-20.bandcamp.com] - Third and final thing so far. A rap about how cryptozoology is bullshit. Yes, I'm nerdcore out the ass. The beat samples yet another song by my band, one that we haven't recorded yet.

jesus christ, i forgot how damn talented this forum is! will take a while to listen more closely to a couple of these and throw up my thoughts. seriously great stuff on first listen.

anyway, been a while since posting. So heres a small collection (EP if you will) of dragonstomp indie songs written about professional wrestling from a hot little number out of Portland, Oregon. all thoughts or criticisms appreciated

Looking for something to very idly work on to practice my ever-growing multi-layering skillz. So anyone want me to possibly cover a song of theirs? If yes, e-mail me the lyrics, chords, and the song (or a link to the song) in question, and I just might do it! No guarantees though, and would probably take a little while before it was done.

Why's everyone in this thread a f***ing Mountain Goats fan?!

... and on the flip side of the same coin - or would it be the same side on a different coin? - I'm idly looking for potential collaborators on my next album, i.e. skilled musicians who'll do all the work for me. Feel free to get in touch regarding that as well, if anyone's keen, and we'll see what happens!

My band's new record, for free download: [thecolonels.bandcamp.com]

Fun fact: the bass used on this record is the same one Hughes used on half of Tallahassee, all of We Shall All Be Healed, and a third of The Sunset Tree. And it was run through Peyton Pinkerton's Showman, which I'm reasonably sure is same amp he used on the Silver Jews records he did.

This is a really good album, Peter. Honest, no-frills, American folk-rock.

Are you saying the actual bass guitar PPH used, or the same model? I'm trying to decide if my reaction is supposed to be

"oh, that's neat"
or
"wow. [full stop]"
