I finally decided to register, and open up a topic up here. Mainly because I was wondering something, how often do you visit The Netherlands? I don't want to give the impression of some obsessed fan but it would do me so good if you'd visit us once in like 5 years for a show. As far as I know you have been playing in Den Haag some years ago, but I was too young and naive at the time to know. We get great stuff up here, i'm seeing My Bloody Valentine and Neil Young in 2 weeks time! But in the back of my mind there's always a missing gig, and that's a Mountain Goats one. The shows i'm seeing don't even do justice anymore, the bands will come back anyway, I even sold my Mars Volta ticket because I didn't feel like going anymore.

I'm seriously considering going to the UK for a show since you are there more often. I don't have a lot of money, which is actually keeping me from doing it (and I would have to travel alone). So yes, please consider visiting us, it's a great place up here. The people are nice and the food is always good (I wouldn't recommend traditional Dutch food though).

I was in Den Haag briefly last year and thought it was an awesome city with some of the coolest architecture I have ever seen. I hope to return sometime for a longer visit.

And I hope you get your wish for a tMG show, but you are right in thinking you might have to travel to UK, but you never know.

wow, I thought I was being dedicated by two states away to see tMG (granted I had to drive back THAT night to take a test in the morning) - boo) but considering going to a different country is quite admirable.
