As I am no longer on the West Coast I'll be missing this tour, but with regard to the front page story on this one:

Obviously no kid ever ever ever deserves to be bullied, that goes without saying. I do have it on good authority though that JD was a pretty nerdy little dude (as I imagine a number of us were/are, so again, not an insult) such that he wore a bowtie clipped on to his little league uniform.

Schlack, it's so creepy that you've interviewed JD's relatives.

I'm going to go to at least Portland, and maybe Seattle and Vancouver, too. We'll see. Tours are working so well w/ my schedule lately!

I am insanely excited for the socal shows. Now I just need to figure out the logistics to get to the SF shows.

ARGH! First night at McCabe's is already sold out. I need a ticket if any of y'all end up not being able to go.

I paid the extra $1 to get hard tickets for the Swedish American Hall so I wouldn't have to deal with Will Call on the night of the shows. Tickets arrived yesterday. I got into tMG just a little too late to have seen them (him) last time he played solo in SF, so I'm pretty excited.

claremont! hooray! dude on the phone seemed totally bewildered and incredulous that someone from OHIO wanted to buy tickets. Will be out there on vacation, and just like last year jd is so good at making tours be where I will be when I am not at home.

If for any reason you don't end up going to one of the SF shows, I'll pay you an exorbitant amount for a ticket. I realize there's a very slim to none chance on that though, so have a good time!

Been searching for tickets to any of the California shows for a couple weeks, to no avail.

I feel a deep need to attend at least one of these shows. Not going to give any sob stories...simply put, I am a huge fan, went to school in Claremont, my wife attended Pitzer, and my connection to John's songs have formed a sort of guidebook to understanding my youth and my experiences since then in a way that is hard to explain.

I've been kicking myself ever since I came back from an extended trip out of country and found out about these shows and realized that they were all sold out.

I'd be willing to pay any asking price, and may even be willing to include any of the few items of Mountain Goats rare-ish stuff in my possession (All Survivors Pack, a handwritten setlist from the Chapman show in November 2010, all of the hard-to-find CDs, etc.).

If anyone can help, please let me know.

So once upon a time someone on here did me a real solid and gave me a ticket to the sold out show at Castro theatre and it made my life. Now it turns out that I will be out of town for the sold out SAMH show on the 27th. I have one ticket and I'll give it to the first person to get back to me for free. Completing the circle as it were. I only have until Monday (June 4th) so get at me and I'll either mail it to you or meet you somewhere and give it to you before then.
