I don't mind if it's a "secret" show (not listed with the other tour dates), since that means it'll probably be a smaller, more intimate show. But I wish The Blind Tiger would start selling tickets already, so I feel better that it's actually going to happen, and that I will be there no matter what. I get super paranoid about his shows selling out...

The Charlotte set was amazing (we got Commandante!), but boy did the crowd ever suck. I was in the front row, and every time I looked around there was barely anybody rocking out, and people kept shouting for No Children even after JD asked them not to and explained that he hates that. The guy standing next to me at one point even drunkenly yelled, "Entertain us!!" Sad, because it was their first time ever playing in Charlotte, and I doubt they'll be back. The crowd wasn't even enthusiastic enough to get a second encore.

The point of that whole rant being, I really hope the crowd at the show tonight is infinitely better.

Argh, I unfortunately know the guy who screamed, "Entertain us!" He was right next to me. I was not pleased. Wish I didn't have to work tonight so I could come to Greensboro and end up seeing tMG 4 times this week!

Every time I see him out and about - especially at shows - I do a face palm. I can't count the number of times he's proposed to me. In front of my boyfriend. Awesome.

Yes, I'm bringing my dad to Saxapahaw!! His 2nd tMG show, my 10th! So excited! Enjoy the Greensboro show for me while I slave away, hehe.

California Song, Tetrapod, and an absolutely fucking killer solo section. This looks to have been quite the show. Only one from Transcendental Youth, but who needs new stuff when you've got that setlist?

The audience was very, very drunk. John spent a lot of time arguing with the front audience (where i was) over song requests. he unplugged himself during the middle two songs of the solo set because the audience was too loud. He attributed The Day the Aliens Came to audience members angry at the volume of others. He stated that Lion's Teeth was a revenge fantasy in a common theme with other songs during the evening. Of the 7 tMGs shows ive been too, by far the most obnoxious audience. I expect better, Greensboro.

I wanted to deck like half of the audience. I don't mind a drunken audience if it's a drunken audience that's into the music, but when it's a drunken audience that won't stfu, that's another thing.

I only went to this show and the Saxapahaw one, but I thought Saxapahaw had a pretty good crowd.
