Biltmore Vancouver June 17 /11

June 14, 2011 10:06PM | Biltmore Vancouver June 17 /11
I'm going to the show this Friday at the Biltmore Cabaret.

I'm flying into Vancouver, and staying at the Howard Johnsons (which, I believe, is above the Biltmore).

Are tMG staying there? What are the chances of getting an autograph after the show? I think I read - on the ticket sale site or somewhere - that there was a 10:30 pm curfew or something (I might've dreamt this).

Do you think John would sign my guitar after the show? Any comments concerning the logistics of this would be welcome.

Thanks.

he signed my harlequin romance novel in manchester, so he'd probably sign your guitar. [www.flickr.com]

we waited by the stage door about an hour for the band to come out, if that's helpful.

Well, I didn't bring my guitar, and so of course had a perfect chance to get JD and the rest of the band sign it if I'd had it with me - would've been a snap, to ask them at least (I'm guessing they would've signed it). I have to remind myself, if I'd brought it I'd never gotten anywhere near them, or it wouldn't have made the flight, or something.

The show was fantastic, and the Biltmore is, I think, a terrific venue for tMG. Great, great sound -I know JD liked it - and good vibe.

One thing I'd like to add - this show was right after the Vancouver hockey riots. I've since thought a lot about how you could have ten or a hundred or a thousand times the audience at the Biltmore show and not have anything more serious than a bumped shoulder, or lost umbrella. There is just something so innately civilized about tMG fans.
