The melbourne show last night was awesome, so glad I got ticket for the corner show too!

Yay! Fantastic, thanks smiling smiley

I'm yet to meet any fellow TMG fans, if anyone's going to the Corner gig tonight and feel like meeting up, lets do it!

ALASKA!!!!

Nah, just joking. First Melb show was awesome. LOTS of songs and not so much banter, I was a bit surprised, but it's all cool. The story behind Diaz Brothers was hysterical. Thanks to untalkative for recording! Totally pumped for tonight, I'm not gonna have any voice left on Friday, hah.

Katoomba setlist updated! John covered Lonsome Surprise by Refrigerator which was quite lovely. Orange Ball was fantastic but I'm super jealous of you Melb guys getting Death Metal, Jeff Davis and You Were Cool. Thanks a bunch for the recording Untalkative!

Wow! Saw the trio playing this in soundcheck in Dublin last year, after which Wurster, who'd just totally nailed the tune, asked "What was that?"!! Ironic, given Scharpling put out Long 331/3 Play...

Well I enjoyed the toff show more than the corner show, though both were excellent shows.
Don't think I will upload or even keep the recording from tonight. A girl next to me just destroyed the entire recording. A ten second high pitched scream after every song, a loud sigh/moan when the band started any song she wanted to hear and the most irritating high pitched giggle i've ever heard whenever John said anything, all directly into my microphone. It's louder than most of the music. I'm certainly never going to be able to listen to this recording and honestly don't think anyone else will be able to sit through it. Unless someone really really really wants it anyway.

Setlist:
1. In Memory Of Satan
2. See America Right
3. For Charles Bronson
4. Birth Of Serpents
5. Old College Try
6. Prowl Great Cain
7. You Or Your Memory
8. Hast Thou Considered The Tetrapod
9. Jenny
10. Color In Your Cheeks
11. Up The Wolves
12. Dinu Lipatti's Bones
13. You Were Cool
14. White Ceder
15. The Diaz Brothers
16. Transcendental Youth
17. Damn These Vampires
18. Pigs That Ran Straightway Into The Water, Triumph Of
19. International Small Arms Traffic Jam
20. Psalms 40:2
21. Palmcorder Yajna
22. Love Love Love
23. This Year

24. Never Quite Free
25. Southwood Plantation Road
26. No Children

Thought both Melbourne gigs were ace! Wondering if anyone that was at the Corner could help me out, what did John call his brief guitar interlude? I've forgotten and it's driving me crazy.

Also, thanks so much for the Toff recording untalkative. Even with the squealing and such, now that I know a recording of the Corner show exists, I'd love to have it if you've still got it?

And now to wait impatiently for October.

Byron Bay was a different show, not much of a crowd - probably 35 people in a room that could fit 200+
It was strange to see no front row or a second row for that matter. "Jam Eater Blues" was pretty fucking awesome.

We passed JD, PPH & JW on the street at Byron about two hours before the show, I was that stoned and tired from working all day I didnt even click who I just dodged on the street. I stopped as I turned the corner cause my partner was standing there pointing in the bands direction with her jaw on the ground. At this stage I thought one of three dudes must have upset my other half somehow, I asked what had happened and still she could not speak. When she finally found the words it was explained to me the dude I nearly ran into was JD.

I felt like chasing after them to say hi but I gave it a miss cause I was pretty sure my tongue and brain would fail if i had seen them again.

The Zoo was its usual show, TMG going off and a great crowd apart from the farter:

Note to the farter: The smell was pungent in the front row for the support act, im pretty sure the stench scared Catherine of stage. Please seek medical attention - your colon is rotting.

The support act was the best yet, Catherine Traicos kicks ass!!! Her guitar style and lyrics were impressive, looking forward to what she does next.
