I currently have scheduled a business trip for May 22-May 29 in London, which is very coincidentally the same week the MGs will be in London and Manchester. I have tix for both. So my fingers are very much crossed that I will be able to see the boys on the other side of the pond. He is bringing the whole band, right? Is this the first full band UK tour?

I will look out for "my granddad when he was young" at both, then!
2008 and 2010 were full-band.

Peter and Jon were here last year for the two shows, London and Leeds, but I don't know whether two shows constitutes a tour...

Hope you make time for the shows - see you in Manchester if so.

is Koko near to Euston train station?

If so, i suspect i'll be there as it'll make my last train back pretty easy to get.

Koko is near Mornington Crescent.
April 14, 2011 05:00PM | Re: koko, london
i think i'll be living in Birmingham so i'm looking to get a train back for work the following day. My train leaves from euston at 11.30, and i hate to leave early to get the tube to a station to go home. If it's close to Euston it'd be great. Google maps suggests so, but if someone with greater experience could confirm, please!

while there is free info about the UK being exchanged, google tells me manchester is about 4 hours from london. is there a train to take or should i be worrying about renting a car? also, are there late trains or am i stuck in manchester for the evening if i don't drive?

from what i can see, the last train outta manchester on the 25th is 9.27, so you may be stuck for the evening.

The best website for UK trains is www.thetrainline.com

Loads of info on times and prices.

You can get the 253/168 a couple of stops down Eversholt Street to Euston, or it's only half a mile's walk down that same road.

@WC As far as I've researched, the National Express coach at midnight is the only public transport outta Manchester -> London after 10pm.

The london to manchester direct train takes just over 2 hours. I get it home from university every few weeks.
