Yeah man, I was so pumped that I got that request through. I thought I had a good shot cuz its a short title, and its pretty easy to pick out of the crowd. Also, I was reasonably certain that he actually knew it.

Just wanted to give a heartfelt thanks to y'all for saying 'hey' Tuesday night. Real pleasure to meet you, truckface, littleinsect and dollabill - and especially you in the flesh after that CD swap, jots! so glad that guy from Oregon and I ended up talking 'squatch while you were standing right there. small, wonderful world we live in. also, mad love to you and Brautigan79 for the pre-birthday drinks: y'all know how to make a guy's 21st something special. sincerely appreciate all of it. not to forget my lovely new Swiss friends who let me crash on their couch after I couldn't make the train to my friend's place in Jersey! and of course the show was absurdly good (even if the Monday and Wednesday setlists were much crazier, I had the time of my life and won't complain one jot. besides, I got to see four hours of John Zorn bands last night.)

AND AND AND scored a JD hug while hanging around drinking my first legal beer (offered by the selfsame kind-hearted Swiss folks).

can't wait til Boston! on my Megabus way back to PVD to listen to AED for the first time on my trusty turntable. can't wait to open it to check the color... maybe my birthday luck has a little fight left in it.

I'm listening to this thing right now -- I'm at Birth of Serpents -- and WOW. Amazing sound quality and the band's energy jumps out of the speakers.

Wrote down the setlist, I'm pretty anal about setlists so I think it's accurate. Let me know if I missed anything. Shower was amazing live, but the highlight of the night for me was definitely Home Again Garden Grove. I also have setlists from Mon and Wed if anyone's interested.

i am really upset that only the tuesday night show fit into my schedule. i am hearing that monday and wednesday were the nights to go. but hey, it's definitely never a bad thing to see the mountain goats.

and seriously? megafaun might be one of my new favorite bands. they were INSANE.

Whether you're a regular poster or lurker you made this week awesome for me and completely shattered my jaded view of NYC hipsters at indie shows. I hope a bunch of you guys will be at the Philly show in a couple weeks so we can hang out some more!

By the way, hi everyone. I'm Ash. I've been obsessed with the Mountain Goats for 6 years but have never posted on the forums until this week. I went to three MG shows in a row this week, which I've never done before. It was a religious experience. I have a lot of footage from the three shows, with great sound quality, am working on getting it all up. I'm so excited to be on this forum, which I should have done years ago. Hi JD fans!
