I'm leaving NYC on 4/2 and today LCD Soundsystem announced their last show ever on 4/3 at MSG. Can't even describe how frustrated I am.

Interestingly there has been an update to the KEXP list of upcoming live performances, and tMG are slated for a set on March 29. Haven't heard of any upcoming NYC broadcasts, but this must coincide with something else planned in the area that week? In any case, just a heads up that they'll likely have limited seating/standing for the performance scheduled for 12pm pst/9am est.

How does one get to go to this show? Do you just show up an hour or two ahead of time and then they let X amount of people in the door? I am newly unemployed and excited I might be able to do stuff during the day!

Yo - I've got an extra ticket for the first and second Bowery shows. I'd like to barter them for a sofa or floor to crash on following both those shows. Shoot me an email if you've got a sofa or a floor.

^ha, yes. that's the idea, anyway. it's been ages since I've done the whole camp-out thing and the day before my birthday seems like an unmissable opportunity for that!

I am still looking for a ticket for Monday 3/28. I have secured entrance to nights 2 and 3, but can't seem to locate anything for night one. Craigslist has some bites, but they seem to all be sold by the time I reply.
Any help would be appreciated, and of course everyone will get a good recording out of it.

Heh, I appreciate the email and your generousity. As it happens, about an hour before that email a friend texted me to tell me he wasn't going and I could have his Monday ticket.

Damn excited for this evening. I've never been to the bowery ballroom that I recall. Is anyone familiar with it? Does it fill up really quickly, etc etc. I want to know how early I really need to be there to get on line.

Bowery is great, my favorite venue in the city. Sound is great, they never oversell and you can see/hear well from just about anywhere. plus it's steps from the subway
