Sadly there will be no possible way for me to swing this show. Damn it.

Hey,

What's the best thing to record a show with? and where do you recommend I put it? Find a way to clip to my pocket or something?

Awesome! Happens to be that I'll be in Raleigh for a basketball game that weekend, so I will definitely go to this. I wish I could find out how to get tickets in advance...

Ugh, I live so close to this show, but that's the day of my school's Homecoming so I have to stay there.

I've already seen John perform twice this year anyway, so I'm good.

Very nice setlist. Sounds like a great show.
December 18, 2010 03:28AM | Re: Just saw this announced for 12/17 in Raleigh
Indeed, what a great setlist! I was going to say something like, "even the first x songs would be worth seeing!" but as I found myself walking through the songs I love to hear live, I found that I had essentially included the ENTIRE setlist. Very cool.

Was it full band the whole time, or was there a solo set? Because it would be very interesting to hear a full band version of No I Can't.

i didn't actually make a note in my little book when the solo set, which led off the show, ended, but according to the great local web-log, Triangle Music, john was solo through the first eight songs.

triangle music's review of brome for the holidays.

here are the only decent photos i got of the performance.

fffffffffffffffffffff that's such an awesome set-list. I would definitely have rather gone to that than sit in the cold at my school's homecoming.

kittenry, were you the person that told me to get the setlist signed? Those pictures make that position seem right.
December 19, 2010 06:17PM | Re: Just saw this announced for 12/17 in Raleigh
nope; wasn't me! were you, however, the dude up front with the little microphone, the one who got the set-list tossed by wurster? how did the recording go?
December 19, 2010 11:24PM | Re: Just saw this announced for 12/17 in Raleigh
That was, indeed me! I actually did not record, because the sound guy at King's was kind of hinting that he didn't want that happening and I figured the full band stuff would distort it beyond belief.

There are a few nice videos on youtube, including this one of Nine Black Poppies, and this of Jaipur.
