Extra Lenns = Franklin Bruno + John Darnielle. They did one album previously, under the moniker of the Extra Glenns. [en.wikipedia.org] Apparently they made some new recordings, but I haven't heard anything about it other than it's completed and they're changing the name to Extra Lenns.

The Extra Glenns: John Darnielle and I have changed the name to The Extra Lens (for private reasons I won't go into), and we've finished a new album that should come out late 2010/2011. @blackliner: There's disliking something just because it's popular and accessible -- that's what I think you're talking about. But things can be obscure just to you, and hold a kind of magic. There's that music you heard once when you were in 8th grade, and it blew your mind, and you've been looking for that record forever, but if you heard it again it would probably seem kind of lame. That's what I would love to hear from tMG: something I am never going to hear again, and never could hear again if I wanted to.

If that still seems poseurish to you, well, I can't say much to sway you, except to enjoy your world of pureness and authenticity.
