I recently filled a certain 10" hole in my collection and thought this would be a nice place to brag. Man, that record had been my white whale for years; Ebay prices for tMG rarities have gone pretty crazy, but I got lucky. Feels good. Now I suppose my most-wanted tMG vinyl would be CCTTST. I keep missing the boat on that one. But all good things come to those that wait, right?

I wouldn't pay much for any of it. Double sticker price is my limit (lol @ lies + pride). I have paid a little amount of $$ for "collector" items, and I have paid a lot of $$ for "collector" items. Paying lots and lots for items with little intrinsic/material value makes me feel icky inside. It's not a political stance or anything, and I can't rightly explain it.

Trading is more my style. I have lots of crap that isn't worth shit to trade.

Ah, really? Just in the cover of the copy I had it says "Reissue of the 1996 album" so I thought it was like Zopilote Machine etc. in that it had been released as a CD by Ajax previously but I just asked Google and discover you're right. Feel a bit better now.

Yeah, I assume the vinyl would be pretty impossible to find but I always peruse tMG vinyl whenever I'm in a record store. On amazon the 3bos edition of zopilote is going for $19.86 to $109.89. They have an ajax copy for $35.00. One guy is asking $225 for a new nfj cd, jesus fucking christ.

Yeah, in my quest for a copy of Nothing for Juice, I found some ridiculous prices. Cheapest UK seller was around £40; got it ordered from the US for about half that. If there was an Ajax version, I imagine that would be worth more? I don't know. My Zopilote Machine is Ajax, but it doesn't matter to me too much - I just want CD copies of the albums I love before they disappear.

On that note, I bought Ghana on Amazon Marketplace for £13.99 today. Score!

There was a track jacket / sweatshirt of sorts for sale at the show I saw in Boston, they had run out of XLs (I'm a big boy) in both colors. I can't even find pictures of it now, so I suppose that's pretty elusive.

as a vinyl geek, i tend to think that everything sounds about 1 billion x better, but i splurged on a nice turntable and obviously the vinyl ain't cheap either, so... yes, let's just stick with approximately 1 billion times better.
