once again, i vote for 'hi, we're not the mountain goats', then a sgt. pepper's-style photoshopped cover of all of us contributors posing, some straight-forward faced, some doing weird poses.. who can photoshop this monstrosity?

interested, but intimidated by the possibility of getting a song that i don't particularly care for.

The sgt.pepper album cover would be awesome.

that's part of the thrill! the people getting songs they don't know/don't like, and have to come up with some vast reinterpretation of the song!

Good. I don't feel bad for refreshing my email. I know like 30 songs already so I'm really intrigued to find out if it's a song I already know or not. I don't mind either way. Playing a song I already know will be comfortable. Learning one and reinterpreting it will be exciting.

First off, this is my favorite title... but I'm going to leave the final decision to all of you.

Secondly, those of you who have been refreshing your email have to understand that, as a Phillies fan, I was busy celebrating as Monday turned into Tuesday. I am leaving for class soon, I'll be back home around 11:30. I work at 2. So that means you'll be getting your song assignments sometime between 11:30 and 2

I'd like everyone to keep their songs a secret, if y'all wouldn't mind. That way, everyone only knows of two songs on the compilation, which'll make it so much more exciting when the album "releases".

Also, some good news. It's looking like I will be attending both Philly and DC... so hopefully I can get more physical copies to all of you.

Just got my assigned track! Thanks again to Colin...see you in DC. Now I'm off to listen to my track on repeat for a while. I'm embarassed to say I'm not immediately familiar with it...which excites me to no end!!!

Now that I'm going to be making actual physical copies of the CD, is everyone OK with getting me their final products (in mp3, please!) by November 22, 2009?

Can you put on the CD or in the final version who requested the song along with who played the cover? I'm curious as to who requested mine. It's a gem I forgot about.
