After 14 and a half years of voluntary insomnia, I just may be nearing the point where I sleep through entire weekends due to total exhaustion and not regret it.

But actually, pretty much that entire song describes me now.
Usually I don't feel very depressed; it takes a lot to get to me these days. But this week I've just been feeling really... empty, I guess. This is partly because this girl who was supposed to go on a date with me decided last minute that she didn't want it to be a date because "life is confusing right now" AKA she found a better, cuter guy who has a tattoo of the Apple logo on his wrist.
I have full intentions of packing up and moving past this, but damn it hurts. It's like I filled myself up with this overwhelming joy inside so that, when it was taken away, I just sort of deflated.

Oh and also I'm playing a battle of the bands tonight even though I'm really sick.

AND i can't find my Casio VL-Tone keyboard anywhere.

And by that I mean I played a pretty good 15-minute (that was the max length) set, including a cover of Autoclave, and people seemed to like it, but I lost the BoB to a two-person band (guy on piano, girl on vocals) that only played two songs... both of which were covers... a RHIANNA cover and a BEYONCE cover...
I'm so ashamed...

I am going to make it through this year, if it kills me.

Actually, almost all of This Year reminds me of my adolescence, which was rather tumultuous, but the chorus alone is pretty powerful to me right now.

I uprooted my whole life at the top of the year to move to a town in the middle of nowhere, where I don't know anyone, to chase a ridiculous college dream that no one I care about thinks is a good idea. I'm late on rent, Social Security just shafted me hardcore, and I can't find a job to save my life. It's been peanut butter sandwiches and cup noodles for two weeks now. I owe like, $400 on back utilities, and not many of my friends have the time of day for me lately. I haven't felt this overwhelmed or lonely in quite a while.

But, I'm gonna make it through this year, if it kills me.

Pretty much all of Woke Up New is my life now. I am going through the worst break up ever blerg.

What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?
What do I do without you?

And I want to go home...
