you guys seriously you gotta think about this. do you think 1000 LPs fit into a minivan? no, they don't, not with three guitars & three guys & boxes of shirts & our luggage, etc. so we did not have the entire pressing with us. think. think about how many boxes a pressing of a thousand might be. look at a record shelf with a hundred records in it. now imagine packing those records into boxes of ten which are then grouped into lots of five and placed in bigger boxes. now multiply that by ten: 500 records. now double that. see how there's no possible way that all 1000 were chugging merrily down the road with us? now remember that, many many times now, it's been stated that there'll be copies of this available for mailorder.

a little thought will spare you a lot of stress.

...So what you're saying is there's a chance?

For 100 bucks you could buy NAC or DITS from Tim Adams. No offense to MCB, but there's no way it could be as good as NAC. I mean it doesn't even have an etching...

Are you serious? I'll give tim 100 for nac. How do I make this happen?

thanks! Done and done. Thank goodness I managed to pick up dits for 30 bucks on eBay a few years back...otherwise I totally would've just dropped 200.


EDIT: Fix'd the spelling of the word 'for.' Forum posting on an iPod Touch during a busy shift at work (not to mention the excitement of committing a benjamin to a copy of new asian cinema) makes for difficult typing.

Ebay is a weird, weird thing. People are freaking out buying $60 copies of BPT when they're still on beggars for $15.

People buy toast with the Virgin Mary on it for thousands of dollars on the ebay. I will never-ever get it.

anyway....

I am completely in love with my copy of MCB, so much so that I would marry it. I've never seen a vinyl this colour green before.

If I don't hear back from Tim, I might take you up on that. Anything else you'd like to part with for a hundo? There are a couple of other releases I'd consider dropping that much lettuce on...

Oh goodness...I wish I could remember where I read it...but I'm pretty sure I read something where JV said there would be an online release...he was talking about how he and JD aren't huge fans of the CD format...and preferred the digital and vinyl mediums...

ha, good for you! you're lucky i can't afford that, or i would've picked it up last fall (it's my favorite tMG ep)! however, i'm glad someone from here picked it up!

Move to a big city where people are really stressed out all the time. Then, get a job at the busiest bar there that you can stand the sight of. Cope with the mean people by developing a sense of humor that allows you to mock them while they believe you are befriending them. When that doesn't work, blast Quito on the jukebox. That is how I support my record collection.

It's cool...I had no idea which parts were sarcastic and which weren't...I happen to love working in the bar industry, and find that it pays the bills and leaves me with a pretty good sum of money left over at the end of the day. sorry you lost your job, that's a bummer.
