But is Roger Moore the cannibalistic NASA employee or would that be the dude with the silver teeth? Who would be the villian in the Moon Colony Bloodbath narrative anyway, the government, the Nasa cannibal or the unwilling organ donors?

And would this sequel be a Bond film or would it be a shoddy spinoff focusing on some minor character?
April 02, 2009 11:59PM | Re: Moon Colony Bloodbath!
roger moore puts in jaws' magic silver teeth and then becomes this crazed moon cannibal. in a weird turn of events, jaws becomes the hero as he tries to get his teeth back from bond so that he can destroy them with his hot blonde girlfriend from sweden, and thusly, save the moon from complete annihilation.

it would be a shoddy bond film spinoff.

i love that hugo drax runs a giant aerospace firm; that he hangs out in aztec temples and plots a new world order in his spare time.

it's like his hobby.

James Bond villains have had a number of insane plans - from blowing up all the gold in Fort Knox to holding the world hostage for untold sums of money. But only one, as far as we can tell, had as his only goal to kill EVERYBODY. That man is Hugo Drax, whose Drax Industries were a big player in the space industry, but who secretly harbored visions of destroying the whole of humanity and replacing it with a new population molded in his image. His plan was to launch nerve gas pods from his orbiting space base, thus covering the Earth in toxic gas and then laughing, from the void, into the night. He also has a way with words, uttering lines that could truly only come from an evil genius; lines like, "You appear with the tedious inevitability of an unloved season." Finally, he had the smarts to have his movie come out on the heels of Star Wars, making James Bond's only space-based adventure a must-see for fans addled by the image of an exploding Death Star. If not for the meddlesome 007 and the hiring of some incompetent help (then again, isn't that the mark of every evil genius?), we'd all be living in a Drax-designed utopia right about now. Cursed do-gooders!

moonraker is seriously underrated.

Finally, a kindred spirit in my feelings of awe and devotion for Moonraker! I have always been alone in my love of that particular Bond adventure.. :-(

Seriously. I'm about to drop $500 bucks on a plane ticket for an LP.

I looked at flights earlier this week. If it were less then the $500 it is. I might have gone for it.

What is frustrating is I flew to DC for the show/Record.... No Bueno.
April 05, 2009 06:57PM | Re: Moon Colony Bloodbath!
I would kill for this record.

*sharpens knives and loads guns*

so... who has one already?

Seriously, people. Jv has already confirmed that the record will be available via mailorder after the tour, and i'm sure it will be on sale through the usual outlets. This ep really isn't going to be so difficult to get a hold of, i don't think. Patience is key!

Okay, off my soapbox. Carry on.

A dude on a different forum that I frequent has told me he'll try to get one for me at the Bloomington show tomorrow night. I am PSYCHED about this development.

Hi guys, first time poster, big fan of the band, etc etc.

Has anyone gotten this yet? Or does anyone know how much it's going for at the shows? Because I have a homie who's going to the last Kentucky show and am going to ask him to pick one up for me, but want to know how much it is first.

Welcome to the forums NotoriousDIT!

I personally am not sure what it cost but I am sure someone can answer your question. If they don't before I talk to some of my friends who already have gotten one, then I will post when I find out!

Hope you stick around! smiling smiley

ummm - tell us more about this Kentucky show.

(I think the EPs are $15)
April 06, 2009 09:02AM | Re: Moon Colony Bloodbath!
EPs are $15 - and there are 1000 that were printed. That's more along the lines of BPT than SM. And BPT was still on the merch table at the shows I went to, so I think y'all are going to be fine. Relax, think of lovely rainbow bunny fish, etc.

omg. omg. omg!

dear fine denizens of kentucky,

there will always be a show in your hearts if you believe. go out on your porch on the full moon. my werewolf friends tell me this is friday. light no less than four dozen candles, tune a shortwave receiver to nothing in particular. close your eyes and believe.

unfortunately, the ep will not be available at this show, the show in your heart.

love,
credit mobilier

ps. can we talk about moonraker some more?
