WSABH outtakes

September 21, 2008 06:22PM | WSABH outtakes
Does anyone have any of the tracks from the WSABH sessions that didn't make it to the album? I have Deserters, but I'm looking for:

Beat the Devil
All Devils Here Now
Scavenger Babies
and whatever other ones there are.

I know these kinds of requests are sticky and always questionable, just thought I'd ask.

I'd really like everything from those sessions. Thanks.

"beat the devil" was on a comp cd that came with the magazine "comes with a smile" #15. it's good. i'd look around ebay or search online shops for back-issues (the magazine is now done and they don't have this issue anymore)

I didn't know that's when Scavenger Babies was from! I only know it in live form.

All Devils Here Now and Scavenger Babies were just live tracks from the same era that seem to be about the same theme. They're probably both on archive.org.

But Scavenger Babies is awesome.

edit: I actually didn't see them there. but All Devils Here Now is from Feb 14, 2003 @ Sabstanz, Munich.

edit2: and a quick google search says Scavenger Babies is from Mo#Fo Festival, Mains D'Oeuvres, St. Ouen, Paris, France, 27th June 2003

oops sorry didn't realize that was something I could see that you guys couldn't, I hate it when people are like "nudge nudge, real funny info I've got that you guys don't know" etc - didn't mean to do that.

I have a recording of it from Briton's Protection in Manchester, but no radio sessions.

I've noticed that people on this board are more stingy than on any of the other boards i frequent when it comes to sharing hard to find or unreleased material. Why is that?

Whatever the case may be, I'm sure insulting the character of everybody on the forum doesn't help at all.

Duende: I kind of committed to ignoring you after your last big blow up, but I will address you here once more. I tend to agree with Dan McGee in thinking that you are messing with people on the forum with your prior attitude, and that you're getting a kick out of it. That being said, I personally decided to zone you out when, several months ago, you threatened to go to a show and commit acts of violence. Even when "messing with people," that's a step too far and I figured it was best to just ignore you instead of antagonize you, whether you were being confrontational or just asking for stuff, in case you really are what you present yourself as.

Since that whole blow up, you've basically disappeared except to pop your head in once in a while to ask for tracks and songs. But asking for that stuff is asking someone for a favor, and while a lot of people on this forum are happy to help out other forum members -- or even newbies to the forum -- when you get aggressive with people and threaten people, disappear, and then show up only to ask for stuff (even politely) you will tend to get ignored. I would bet that if you started showing up to the forum and presented yourself civilly, chatting about the MG's or what have you, when it came time to seek out tracks or information you don't have, you might find people a lot more generous.
