Guys - life freaked me out today.

I was walking to the train after work and singing Game Shows Touch Our Lives to myself. Out loud, even.

Half a block later I happen upon a man packing up his fruit stand - and this box of fruit was sitting on the sidewalk winking at me.

Man, while I was working on the campaign in NH the weekend before the election, I even thought of this thread and looked for a welcoming sign into the town I got sent to...because at one point I was literally going to Bristol.

Ugh, if I'd thought of it before getting into town I would have used a highway sign, but we were preoccupied with actually finding the place haha


We are the ones who don't slow down at all...

Gee, thanks! ('That guy' being me.) I did, however, get the shortest haircut of my life (largely in order to donate it) and shaved off the accompanying beard at the beginning of the semester. It really is a cathartic experience! But yes, my grandparents lived just outside of SLO, so I've spent many a week in those environs. This last time, I knew I had to make a mini-pilgrimage.

Ha, yup! That was me. Who were you? (These boards can be so neat sometimes.)

I ended up timing my flight from Seattle back to school in Providence to coincide with the show; I can never get a direct flight to PVD anyway, so why not make a targeted stop? Other than a hotel to stash my copious luggage, the price ended up being pretty comparable. It was my first time in North Carolina, too, although I've since been back for a weekend. Really lovely place. And of course, the show slayed.

I wasn't really anyone; I was over on the right of the stage. The only distinguishable thing I did was when people started shouting out songs (before he asked for requests), I yelled, "Play what you want, it's your concert!"

I once made a google map of the route described in the Jeff Davis County Blues.

Its not a pic because i could get fired, but I work at a hospital and under a patients info, it lists allergies. Most days I have at least one person allergic to Dilaudid and I always start singing it to myself.
