The whole thing kind of makes me ill.

uh, i don't think missy is being an elitist dowshe at all. sometimes things are rare, missy has heard those things because she's been a tMG fan for forevers. that's not elitism or dowshiness, just the way things are.

yeah, i thought what ZS said was right on the money, and missy too. let's remember there are shit-tons of rare tmg songs out there that are rare in part because john wants them that way (because of quality control more than exclusivity, one imagines). also, as voldemania pointed out him/herself, it was a rude way to start out here, but nobody bashed him/her about it, they were all nice. granted the thread before it was bumped was a little snarky, but the new comments seem pretty ok. let's all be like fonzie. smoking smiley

JD has said many times that there's nothing wrong with some things being lost to time.

It's also important to note that just because some people have heard a song doesn't mean they have it. Like ZS said, there are many songs that only JD and Nall may have.

yeah, what cali said. plus, there are so many, many good songs out there, that you really needn't worry about uber-rare ones until you've gotten through all of the easier-to-access stuff. the thing is, anyways, is i see uber-rare songs like going to france and kinda compare them to the kabbalah -- 1st get through the torah in detail, and then turn to the kabbalah, as you can't really appreciate the latter without 1st fully understanding the former. so get through the accessible ones 1st, and by that time you'll probably have figured out ways to access the difficult ones.
