Baltimore

and

You or Your Memory

have been #1 and 2 most played in my itunes since 2006.
April 19, 2012 04:13PM | Re: Personally Most Listened to tMG song
I lost all my play counts on iTunes a while back. My first MG album was PROTEIN SOURCE OF THE FUTURE so that probably favors it, but I've played the heck out of HERETIC PRIDE.
I'm pretty sure my most listened to song would be "Autoclave," tho "No Children" makes a strong showing. All the break-up songs make a strong showing, because I made a list of them.

My webcomic actually hits on tMG pretty often and I came on here in part because I wanted to share a comic I did about "Autoclave." Before I get yelled at, I did see in the Community Rules (#3!) that JD said it was okay to share stuff that you've done that relates to the band.

So... here you go... my comic tribute to Autoclave. Check it out. I hope someone maybe kinda likes it.

That's pretty awesome... here are my two autoclave pictures.

Well, these are mine.
Mostly listen to full live sets though.
But for those days when you just need to hit the same song for hours
Grendel's Mother because in my own way I am her.
Gojam because I'm from Africa - and his words ring so true.

Those are five of the best songs to have in your top! That's wonderful. So glad "Maybe Sprout Wings" was up there too!

i love that Grendel's mother is your number 1, its always rung a very special note in my heart even though i myself do not listen to it as religiously as you do. its one of the first mountain goats songs to make me cry (since that was my first album bought) and it almost never fails to do so.
and treetop song is one i often have a special desire to hear so thumbs up

To me the Beowulf narrative is like the cover illustation to the book that is that song. Yeah tears - obligatory.
Not as many as "Matthew 25:21" (from The Life of the World to Come DVD) on youtube.
The treetop song is there because I've moved city so many times in the last 3 years: Cape Town, London, Antwerp, Eindhoven, Utrecht, Amsterdam and every move has been made easier with that song.
And the version I listen to for Maybe Sprout Wings is the AOL from youtube. The top two comments on that vid sum it up for me.

and I think Pinklon is perhaps everyone's fantasy about going home

^ remember reading Beowulf when I was at school; fairly sure there is a Woody Allen gag about it in Annie Hall as well in terms of avoding it if at all possible! Actually, I enjoyed it.

Still very much a newbie to tMG but 'Hast thou considered the Tetrapod' is one of my favouritessmiling smiley

From TG&Y probably. Followed promptly by In Corolla. Especially when I was a sad teenager.
November 14, 2012 09:14PM | Re: Personally Most Listened to tMG song
No Children, Cubs in Five, Going to Georgia, and Southwood Plantation Road are all alone in the top 4, with Attention All Pickpockets and Ox Baker Triumphant at a distant but quickly rising 5 and 6.

These tracks are the jam. I'd say Going to Georgia is climbing the list fast. A favorite to scream while driving.

I mentally soundtrack In Corolla to Ophelia's death personally

Dance Music - 257
Lovecraft in Brooklyn -115
Going to Georgia - 114
Heretic Pride - 110
Marduk - 110

Dance Music got me through a tough spot in my life, that song alone was my therapy for a while... so ya... that's why it's so disproportionate... it saw me down my own twisting alleyways
December 10, 2012 05:06PM | Re: Personally Most Listened to tMG song
1. Black Molly
2. Pink and Blue
3. Fault Lines
4. Balance
5. Riches and Wonders

And the list goes on as you might predict.
