The big problem isn't really that you downloaded them (kinda) it's more that you bragged about it. Moreover, you were called out by someone who needs you to buy them as this is how he makes his living (and his wife). Now you're defending yourself by splitting semantic hairs. That's just low. Is it a complete mystery to you why people are acting pissy?

I think personally that thedeuce should be left off a little - if he really did just buy all the stuff that's in print, that's a good direction to redeem the p2p downloader. It would appear he did not intentionally mean to mislead us, else he would not have fessed up to not getting the OOP stuff.

Who here does have a complete collection including the old tapes, On Juhu Beach, and all the records that comprise the 3BOS comps anyway (apart from Nall)? My guess is only a handful here. Especially since you'd have to have been an avid listener for about 15 years to have the advantage, while most fans probably didn't come along till post-4AD (myself included - my first release was Tallahassee).

They're only out on vinyl and I've been looking for ages for these two latter on the web.

Or did you mean you bought it on itunes or something, cause I could totally go for that as well right now. The hunt is killing me. If anyone knows of a place to buy these, then please inform me.
