Placeholders is arguably Nothing Painted Blue's best album, and it includes the original version of Placeholders, among other excellent songs:

I dunno, I actually think it's one of the weakest full lengths. I think Monte Carlo Method has some weak spots, like Collage Elements and Modern Again, but that Power Trips and Taste the Flavor are extremely solid. I can't seem to remember how the tunes Kissing Booth or Rightful Heir even go, something I couldn't say about any of the other records.
To be the weakest album in 0PB's catalog is still an extreme honor among music in general.

re: Weakest
Wait whaaaaaaaaaaaaat (cf. Wurster). But you got: Houseguest, Ballwalker, Masonic Eye, Can't f(x) [speaking of bawdy lyrics], and Weak, all what I would describe as high points!
That being said I am quite partial to Power Trips, as well. I agree with you on Monte Carlo, it has weak spots, but I think Placeholders is stronger.
