Somebody tell me we only celebrate April Fool's day at the beginning of the month.

Both will be reissued as a single release on CD or mp3 available June 26th.

I am shocked this reissuing project is actually happening, truth be told. As much as JD is all about heading forward and being only concerned with what is to come and all that jazz. I think it's great, but I'm completely shocked.

It's legit. I've purchased a few things (including tMG stuff) from here over the years. Pretty surprised about this reissue, though.

ETA: Pitchfork and their disregard for Hebrew. Bastards.

Wow, this was surprising to read, to say the least! There were plans for Shrimper to put these out on CD about 10 years ago (something alluded to in the liner notes to Protein Source or Bitter Melon Farm, IIRC), but it died on the vine.

And, yeah, Midheaven is the mailorder arm for Revolver USA distribution, who manufacturers and distributes Shrimper, so they are beyond legit and one of the finest indie institutions this country has. Revolver helped pay for the manufacturing of Nothing for Juice way back when, in exchange for favorable territorial rights -- helped out one broke indie dude!

I waited and refreshed the page in case an icon hadn't loaded or something. Aside RE: June 20-year-old lofi rereleases, funny that this isn't, while Drag City are putting out Silver Jews' Dime Map/Arizona Record on tape when as far as I'm aware they were never tapes in the first place.

Folks ordering who didn't buy the Smooth Sounds compilation, might I recommend adding it in? It's $7.75 tape/$9.25 CD for 30-summin tracks and I have such a lot of fun every time I listen to it.

Got it, that makes sense I'd just never been made familiar with this arm of their outfit. Very exciting!

Its amazing to think that that got written a measly 6 years after the releases of HC and HGS and that now, 14 years on (20 from the release of the actual cassettes) they'll finally be rereleased.

I wonder what the exact source is for the reissue? I also wonder (don't laugh at me) how good the sound quality will be.
