i'm talking to daniellescomment about doing one of the other songs, so there's still one up for grabs. i'll keep everyone updated when i know which song(s) still need to get done..

I'll take that one that's up for grabs! I mean, Nigel and I worked together on ours, and I know we want to avoid repeats, so I totally understand if it's not cool... but if it is, I'm here and can get it done within several days!

Hey guys, just getting back to my computer after almost a month without. I'm really terribly sorry about not getting in touch earlier and felt like you folks deserved a public explanation. When I joined this project I was just getting over pneumonia, or I thought I was. That all came back, and then ended up with me in the hospital with pneumonia, mononucleosis, and strep. Needless to say singing wasn't in the cards, nor was my trumpet. I'm really sorry for the lapse in communication when I was without my computer, and I hope somebody bangs out an awesome "Blues in Dallas". Really looking forward to what comes out of this.

OK, so in a fit of inspiration (and a long overdue change of guitar strings) I just re-recorded my song. By my estimation, it's between 3 and 10,000 times better than my original submission.

I'm gonna let it sit a day or two so I can make sure the levels are right, but then I'll send it in.

It's been almost a month since the last post here, who is going to take responsibility for holding this up!!!

If any songs are needed my noise band is happy to contribute to it.

Here's the deal, also, guys. It's been a long time now since I've heard back from nigel and nutopia. I've emailed them a couple times in the last few weeks to get an update on where we are in terms of songs (DAMMIT, SHLACK!! ) and the blurbs for nigel and so far it's been radio silence on both fronts so I'm not sure just where we're at or when we'll be seeing this because they have all the actual files. Does anyone have another way of contacting them (FB/text/etc.)? Otherwise, keep sending your stuff in AS SOON AS IS GALACTICALLY POSSIBLE and I'll keep at it and hopefully we get the listening and donating underway soon!

sorry about my disappearance. joe, i got your e-mail but was away and meant to hammer out a response when i got back but never got to it.

here's where we stand: STILL missing four songs. pink and blue, blues in dallas, crows (which should be on its way), and commandante. i've talked to a couple people about working on them but i haven't received anything tangible yet. i'm going to send out a couple e-mails/facebook messages and see if i can get any responses. otherwise, i guess we should just open up to whoever wants to take over the rest and get it finished?

before even posting this, got a reply back from one of my messages, hoping to have a cover of 'commandante' by the end of the week. provided that works out, just have to get covers of pink and blue and blues in dallas pinned down.
