Help getting my Mountain Goat signed

February 06, 2012 10:24AM | Re: Help getting my Mountain Goat signed
I've got a ticket stub that's completely saturated w/jd sweat, ticket was kind of damp cause it'd been in my pocket so he just rubbed it all over his face then tried to sign it...now we just gotta wait for the technologies.

Many thanks to VagabondKing! Really appreciate the effort you put in (and the inclusion of the show's setlist and the newspaper interview), and I'm glad it was a fun project.

Why's everyone in this thread a f***ing Mountain Goats fan?!

If anybody's wondering why it took over two months to get there, apparently I didn't make myself clear when I called the Post Office the first time, asking about postage to Norway. They told me it was going to cost $68 and change to get Eivind his swag. Which, for a broke-ass cook like me, is the same as saying Eivind doesn't get his swag, and I'm a schmuck.

In actuality, it cost $3.

Oops.

So, tomorrow (hopefully) I'll be off to the Post Office with this...

John seemed to be expecting me (he seemed confused when I introduced myself as Matt but then it appeared to twig and he said "Oh - maffj!" which was kind of nice) and he said "Ah, I have to sign this don't I?"

He also signed my DVD of TLOTWTC...

I love this thread. Also I think we've found a great forum motto: "Only the heroic and the mad follow mountiain goat trails."

Very neat! Much appreciated, maffj! thumbs down Glad you both were successful in your respective missions.

But, he seemed to be expecting to have to sign another Mountain Goat Magic card... ?

Is JD lurking? Testing the waters before a triumphant return?

Possible I guess, unless VK told him there was another one in circulation.

Guys, I know John doesn't post here anymore, but if you think he NEVER reads the forums, or no one he knows does... I don't remember what it is that I have to sell you in this joke, but there is something I have that I could sell to you that gullible people would buy readily and happily without questioning its validity or value which would humorously illustrate their gullibility because said thing is obviously not valid/not of value.

I don't think JD reads the forums anymore because when Jeff asked him in New York he laughed and said "Ohh no."

I've got big plans.Talking BlanketYay, Butts! LOL!

i'm pretty sure he only comes on to read my posts.

A very delayed, but very heartfelt thank you to maffj! Or as we say in Norway: tusen takk. Which just means "thousand thanks". Considering our strong Norwegian currency, the exchange rate for those would probably be pretty high!

Now I just need two more to have a complete playset.
