Also, thread is one of those "not what you say but how you say it" deals.

I have that, too, and I had not considered this issue from that perspective. It used to be rather crippling, but over the years I've learned to deal with it and interact with others to the point that it isn't really an issue for me anymore, aside from a bit of general social anxiety and awkwardness. As I previously said, my problem with this thread was never that the OP asked the question (though as Mike has pointed out, Google would have been preferable), but instead with how tactless their phrasing was, particularly in regards to the username. It is unfortunate that this thread is still continuing, but I feel that everyone's joking responses were not mean-spirited.Quote

My kid has a social disability called Asperger's Syndrome that causes him to have an absolute lack of guile, or subtlety, as several sanctimonious assholes looking to prove their own value have put it. I'm not saying that JD has Asperger's, but The Sunset Tree struck a chord with me as an individual and as my son's father. Why can't you accept a person who finds -- in some of your favorite music -- something that he must know more about? Possibly because he's trying to understand himself?
Yeah, I'm drunk. Doesn't matter. Half of you are, too.
