but it's not on Hot Rocks. I'm wagering he's going to play Mother's Little Helper.

btw, why do they do a tribute show to a greatest hits package? there arent enough classic Stones' albums to pick one with original tracks?

Having a favourite The Rolling Stones song is like having a favourite acrid smell. Mine's "Teething Nappy".
December 06, 2011 05:27PM | Re: John's Favorite Rolling Stones Song
I think my favorite is, "It's All Over Now." Don't know enormous amounts of Stone's songs but that's one of them. I can't picture JD doing a very good cover of that though.

my favorite Rolling Stones song is Cocksucker Blues, but I don't think that will be played at this show.

This is my favourite because it's the only one I know well, it mentions places v. close to where I'm from, and because the Silver Jews covered it.

Another vote for Cocksucker Blues as my personal favorite. I'm also partial to You Can't Always Get What You Want, Shine a Light, Mother's Little Helper, and Sympathy for the Devil.

Love the Silver Jews, but this is my first time hearing their version. I'll take the original, but it's definitely cool.

...a death metal version of 'paint it black"...i don't like the band but that's
a nice song...
December 07, 2011 12:59PM | Re: John's Favorite Rolling Stones Song
i don't like any bands except the one's i've been in.

not liking rolling stones music is like not liking ray charles music or bob dylan music.

it will be underestimated until it's all listened to.
