The first time I heard Your Belgian Things I thought it was "beneath the weighted bears" rather than "beneath the weight it bears". I'm not completely sure what I was imagining.

so uh, for nigh 10 years I have thought that Weekend In Western Illinois went as following:

Yeah. Sort of changes the meaning of the whole first verse and I'm very annoyed at myself about it since it's one of my favourites.

When I went to the last show at the Ottobar, I heard Seeing Daylight for the first time. My partner swore up and down that during the chorus he was singing "Boy, oh boy!". Gave the song a much more positive vibe overall. She still sings it that way.
