September 27, 2007 07:04PM | Re: Mountain Goats tab request thread!
the video from Pitzer last year shows it being just climbing up the frets with a D frame.

Starting out with D on the fifth, and going to D natural, then going D-9 to D-4 D-3 and D. I think at the end before you reach the D you might go into Asus4 or something, not entirely sure, just sounds a bit like that on the Hound Chornicles version.

Golden Jackal Song, anyone?

Hmm, I remember that Pitzer video sounding a tad different from the album version (which I was honestly way more into). But I'll mess around with that and see. I feel like a capo is involved in the song, at least on the album. Or at very lesat, it's easier to play with one.
I don't know where this is going... but thanks for the tips!

I can't remember it off of the top of my head, but I figured out Mummy's Hand, and I remember it being pretty simple. If no one beats me to it I can post something later/tomorrow.

Golden Jackal Song, anyone?

Here you go:
(Note: This song can be played easily with a Capo on the 1st fret. just remove the sharps(#) and you've got the chords.

Intro C# G#

C#
well I swung through town
G#
shining like a new quarter
felt something sharp rise up within me
C#
when I crossed the border
stopped at the gas station payphone
G#
I let my fingers fly
the wicked impulses were dying
C#
but I couldn't let them die
we were over at your place
singin about the old times
D#minor
no one had anything to prove
F#
I ate so much (carrion)?
----C#-------------G# F# G G#
that I could not move
I was bloated

when I saw you in the kitchen
glistening like the old country
all your cups and glasses
lined up in front of me
I stopped at the faucet for a minute
waited til you came in to see what was wrong
your fingers brushed my ribs playfully
and I played along
you had your tongue in my mouth
your eyes glistening in the light
I ate rich raw (carrion) ?
til I could not think
I was full

Terror song?

Por favor!

And if I were any good at figuring out songs, I'd put em up.

But I'm really... not. So I feel bad taking, taking, taking, but... what can ya do?

Carrion? Isn't that like raw flesh?
That song has always confused me. I need to look deeper into it.

EDIT: A bit of research, it's making more sense to me.

All I have is a live version of Terror Song (I don't know if there is any other version)... it seems to just be E repeated with a drum beat. It's difficult to tell on my version.

Anyway, I like tabbing out songs. Any more requests?

Also, if someone can add my tab and the others to the wiki I would appreciate it and I'm sure others would too. I can't seem to figure out how to really use it.

Alex (MrGlass) tabbed out Narakaloka for you and he's working on Corinthians. He's having issues logging into the forums right now so he asked me to post for him.

Would someone please let me know the chords to The Seed Song and The River Song (Extra Glenns)? I can't seem to get the Seed Song page to come up on the wiki that was recommended above. Thank you!
