Eighth copy black. Owner of my store emailed Merge and found out they won't be getting tapes. Apparently JD picked the stores they went to. Bummer since this store started in Chapel Hill and has sold more copies of 69 Love Songs than any other indie retailer. I won't be able to help anyone get a tape. I wish I could. I'm still glad to have started this thread though and I hope everyone gets what they want. I think I'm going to stop buying copies at ten and just live with the hole in my collection (which is far from complete anyway). Good luck to all.

it would also be nice to donate one to the local library, that's what i'm doing w/ my extra black. (yes, it still has a record player).

That's a good idea. I'll ask one of my coworkers who frequents the library if they do vinyl.

If you add int'l shipping you're probably at 35 bucks. you can get one on ebay for that. but if you want me to do the Aquarius thing, let me know and we'll work something out. you can also email me at mhession63 at gmail dot com

Oh thanks anyway, misunderstood. No I have worked something out with Weshallallbe. It's just a black, but at least Ill get the vinyl. I guess I'll get the tape from ebay some time in the future when all this hoo-ha is over. But cheers.

i have already gave this guy hell for it. i have been corresponding with him all day about his attempt to exploit people. i told him i already warned the forum about him, and said that no one should buy it. he finally said, "you know i'd give it up for $20 if you take my info off the board", then i offered $25 and he turned it down. if you see my posts above -- all the periods -- that is where i had mentioned this dude. i took it down because he said he'd come down on the price. but now i'm bringing it back up.

do NOT buy from seacow_hunter99sk!!!

I had made a request for an extra ASP cassette for my lady, but as it happens I was able to find her one. So I'm rescinding my request. Good luck everyone, I'm sure we'll all find one with a bit of work and patience.

Well, the same guy posted it for $39.95 earlier in the day and I jumped at it. It must have been within an hour of him posting it. I thought that was a reasonable price and that if it was open auction the price would be driven up above $50 for sure.

He took the $99.95 one down and has now re-listed for $89.95, but it better not be the one I bought earlier being re-listed. I'm still waiting for shipping notice.

I would LOVE anyone willing to sell me an ASP cassette; would be eternally grateful... cannot stress this enough. I will beg if needed. Please don’t make me beg.

In addition, I can trade computer keyboards for the tape. It’s an obscure hobby, yes, but if anyone here is interested in quality typing instruments, I have the IBM Model M, old Apple Keyboards, and several other options for trade. I mention this because keyboard communities and tMG forums both seem littered with English buffs, writers, etc. It's worth a shot.

Things I really want are On Juhu Beach or a blue vinyl (pipe dream), but I'm willing to trade it with or without a copy of the black vinyl for pretty much any tMG item that I don't have. Frankie, while I can't offer you a tape, you have a noble hobby and I truly respect the respect that you have for keyboards that don't suck. While I was unaware that there were keyboard communities, I can't say I consider myself surprised. I think I need to do some research now.

Totally thanks! I've always been picky about my input devices and i'm not sure why.

Regarding All Survivors Pack, I can offer a nicely rebuilt early-'90s vintage IBM Model M keyboard. They go for $50-60 on Ebay.

Still, i'd be more than happy to pay cash.
