Hey guys, I got a black version and a tape here. I've opened the tape and listened a couple times and would be willing to part with it if someone doesn't mind an already opened one. I don't want to try and rip any fans off here, so what do you guys think is fair?

that would be a bad purchase. In 30 days, these cassettes will be going for under $30.00. There are a 1,000 of them and they are a cassette. You can buy a purple LOTWTC today on ebay for 29.00 and that's an album and only had 777 issued.

i don't care, that it's opened and would love to get that walawala, but have no idea, what's a fair price or trade. on what do you think?

Checked no less than three record stores in New York and no tapes to be found. One of those times when Seattle would have been better - we may not have a shop on every corner, but Sonic Boom and Easy St. are sure on top of their shit. Sorry, folks! If I find one my sharing offer still stands.

Well, the same guy posted it for $39.95 earlier in the day and I jumped at it. It must have been within an hour of him posting it. I thought that was a reasonable price and that if it was open auction the price would be driven up above $50 for sure.

He took the $99.95 one down and has now re-listed for $89.95, but it better not be the one I bought earlier being re-listed. I'm still waiting for shipping notice.

I got a clear vinyl but no tape. I'm in the middle of moving to New Orleans, so I'll be scouring the record stores when I get down there.

I like that tMG release these scavenger hunt items. When you finally get your coveted item after searching high and low, it's just that much better!

You can sell me one of those blacks if you'd like? I'll pay the cost plus shipping. I live in Denmark. I would really like a tape though, just in case that store gets one in. Either way I'm in for a black.

Eighth copy black. Owner of my store emailed Merge and found out they won't be getting tapes. Apparently JD picked the stores they went to. Bummer since this store started in Chapel Hill and has sold more copies of 69 Love Songs than any other indie retailer. I won't be able to help anyone get a tape. I wish I could. I'm still glad to have started this thread though and I hope everyone gets what they want. I think I'm going to stop buying copies at ten and just live with the hole in my collection (which is far from complete anyway). Good luck to all.

I went into Aquarius yesterday, and apparently they were taking pre-orders for the cassette! I wish I had known. The rest are being raffled. Apparently JD knows the guys at Aquarius and gave them a bunch. I would suspect some of those pre-orders ended up on ebay from regular Aquarius customers in the know, but who don't necessarily care much about the MGs.

that sucks man. not to be a monday morning quarterback, but for the price of 10 LPs, you certainly could have bought at least a clear vinyl on the secondary market. take solace in the fact that 3 months down the line, clears will be going for 30 bucks on ebay. blue is a different story.
