i doubt that's the tape, though if it is: kudos to that tumblr guy. way to waste a ton of money on a "donation" in order to get the internet all riled up.

it could on the other hand just be some other mountain goats something (live set, copy of an album, etc etc)

WOW! So that picture was real. It was a baby in a Megafaun tshirt playing with the Eugene Sue tape. Kind of flabbergasted. Happy the tape didn't break. Babies get their hands on anything they can find. Next time bet you'll be more careful with your collections though, Brautigan winking smiley

first of all, he was holding eugene sue's case. then a tape. not necessarily eugene sue.
second of all, even if he did do that to eugene sue, and lets say he broke the actual tape part in two, you can use scotch tape to fix it.
tapes are magnetic. it's read with a magnet, so as long as it's done carefully the tape would still work.
sheesh people, don't you remember tapes?
two weeks of this fretting over a simple joke.

EDIT: I wasn't actually angry when i typed this, although it might appear that way.
