All the more reason to research an artist you can trust. Find another Mountain Goats fan if you can. Do you live in a city or college town? If so, there are bound to be more than enough talented tattoo artists.

There are a lot of tattoo shops around here, but a lot of them are kinda frightening, hahaha.
I think I'm gonna take in the WSABH design and show it to them and be like "Can this be done?" and explain that it's gotta look really good. And if they say no then I'm gonna use the Little Prince idea. And maybe later I'll get a Mountain Goats quote or something.

I made a shirt with that guy on the front for Zoop II. Below that it had the slogan from the FFG poster: "We think because we're young nothing can hurt us. Something can."

My tattoo artist friend is drawing up my first tattoo(s) this week, very tMG related. I'm getting the grand staff on both my wrists(where bracelets would sit; treble on right, bass on left). On the staves will be the climax of 'Ezekiel VII and the Permanent Efficacy of Grace' with the lyrics above and below each wrist for that part of the song (Drive 'til the rain stops/keep driving on right;High as the clouds now/Flying... on left).

I'm super excited as this tattoo combination is the only ink I've ever wanted. A lot of people say wrist area is a bad idea, but it will be only black lines so i can get it touched up easily if it fades, and there's next to no chance of me surviving in the business world regardless. It just makes me happy because it will be very visible playing any of the instruments I primarily play (guitar/bass/drums/piano) and also when I play the piano, I'll be playing each side of the piano with the matching hand.

I've been thinking of getting a couple of lines from tmg lyrics for a while but never been able to settle on just two lines that I'd happy to take out of context... so I'm now thinking of getting the words 'get raw & draw blood' taken from one of John's posts on this site where he wrote 'Because the whole point of playing an acoustic guitar is not to unplug. It's to get raw and draw blood.' That kind of sums up what I love tmg quite nicely. If I go for it I'll probably pick a font used on one of the album covers.

That person you saw at Zoop was me...making this at least the second time I've been confused for Colin . That lady and I broke up over a year ago. I'm in a much happier and much healthier relationship now. I might someday get my 'and I will sing for you' covered up by something else. I still have my giant 'We shall all be healed' and sometimes I feel shitty about having a reminder of something bad now that I'm with someone great.
