tmg tattoo ideas

so a friend and i are thinking of getting matching tmg tattoos, but are having troubles coming up with a suitable line.

We want it to be one half of one line on one of us and the other half on the other person. ideas would be greatly appreciated!

i was thinking (please note that i am untattooed as of yet, though i've got a bunch of ideas once/if/when i decide to take the plunge) of getting a picture circled with:

"i saw the future in a dream last night/there's nothing in it"

my girlfriend (already adorned with tattoos) was thinking about something based around:

"someday i am going to walk out of here free"

so, matching in that it's the same song being culled from, but not necessarily being "matching tattoos".

I've also been thinking about Mountain Goats tattoos, although I was more hoping to get an image. Any ideas for that? Preferably a SIMPLER symbol of some sort.

my wife, for some valentines day in the past, gave me a picture. it was just a white page with black lines. it was the outlines of greece and albania, and the border between them had a heart drawn on it.

Oh man am I glad that another tattoo thread has popped up. I've been deliberating literally for years about what kind of tattoo to get, and just the fact that I still haven't settled on a single image after all this time worries me that I'll never come up with one.
I've had lots and lots of brainstorm sessions and lots of ideas have come and gone, but right now here's the idea that's winning the imaginary tattoo race:
A 1967 colt .45 (cliche, i know, i know) with a flag coming out of the end of it,


(kind of like that)
Only the flag would say "tMG"

Opinions?

Depends on the font choice. I think if tMG is written in a really cool way that would be a pretty good lookin tat.

I actually was thinking about that one too.
I'm kinda between getting that, the pyramids from Come, Come, To The Sunset Tree, or just going all out and getting the We Shall All Be Healed cover.

Or, there was one idea for a non-tMG tattoo that I had...

All the more reason to research an artist you can trust. Find another Mountain Goats fan if you can. Do you live in a city or college town? If so, there are bound to be more than enough talented tattoo artists.

Agreed. Without all the detail it has the possibility to look like a screwed up Black Flag logo with an extra bar or two.
