Two reasons:

1) I don't devote the time to come up with a good cover unless I have a project with a deadline.
2) I feel bad posting my own stuff in the covers threads because I rarely have time to listen to other people's covers. I don't want to just throw my stuff in there without contributing.

as promised, video has been taken of the drawing. everyone has received an e-mail link to the video. if you didn't receive an e-mail from me, let me know and i'll re-send.

the note-worthy addition, that you'll see in the video, is that "going to georgia" is, in fact, included. the reasoning behind this is that i received ONE extra entry, and i didn't want to exlude that person.

the video is up for seven days, so don't delay. if the link is dead by the time you get to it, e-mail me and i'll let you know what song you've been assigned.

ONCE AGAIN - you are not performing the song you selected. the song you will be performing is what i state you are doing in the video. if you didn't hear your name or didn't understand my low-bitrate monotone, e-mail me.

YAY YAY YAY! Last post I did I forgot to click "follow topic" and thought it bizarre that no one had posted on this thread in awhile.

all it means if you never heard the song you got is that it will be less derivative and one of the more original tracks on the comp. don't stress it.

Excited to start brainstorming ideas for my song! It's one I know, and I guess it'd be rather easy to cover it fairly straight with the friend who's working with me on this, but I'd rather be bolder if we can. I have to say I do love the idea of someone getting a song they've never heard and has never been released, getting the lyrics from nall's site and just building their own song, go for it guys!
